day after day

I'm listening to my dad and his friend play a guitar duet. Free jazz, abstract music, whatever it's called. It's the arty music that almost everyone seems to hate. It's growing on me (which is probably inevitable.)

I was up late last night chatting with my friend in Ukraine. He called me earlier yesterday when I was out of the house. Skype is now set to forward calls I don't catch to my cell, which is still unnerving. I can pay half a cent a minute or whatever it is to get a pretty clear phone call from someone on his laptop on the other end of Europe. Of course.

Today I woke up late and sat at my computer. Leftover lasagne is my breakfast/lunch as I very slowly drag myself through the resume creation process. I think I hate working on my resume as much as I hate writing the GD cover letters day after day. Yes, I know. I am the first person ever to have to look for work. Hell, it hasn't even been that long since my last round of job hunt bitching (CAUTION: Here there be whiners).

I'm sitting just inside the big windows at Starbucks on Church again. As soon as I post this I'll close up my laptop and walk over to Palmerston and Bloor to have dinner with my grandmother. After that I'll try to drag a few more bullet points for my resume out of my unwilling mind.
