TOday in history class my teacher asked us who was running for governor this election in Florida. Sadly the only ones in the room that could telll you were me and him. It is repulsive to think that in a classroom full of students no one could even say a correct name. Has America seriously got that lazy? Have we got that busy in our daily lives? Have we all forgotten that we are blessed to have this right. Yes part of freedom is the choice to vote or not to. But this will effect your life daily. Do you want to put that into the hands of those around you? Do you trust them with your money and your ideals? What is right for me is not right for you. I dont want the responsiblity of deciding your fate till the next election.Its not even the fact that I am tired of hearing people bitch. I am tired of people not being able to have an intellectual conversation with me about their own country. I am tired of seeing people just live without standing. Mostly I am sadened that only roughly twenty some percent of us registared voters vote anymore. What happened to the days when Presidents like Lincoln got elected after over eighty percent of voters cast their ballot.
Today has inspired me to go search for my facts so I can start deciding.
