So much to tell, so little time...

Ok I'll make this my "fill you in on Sydney" post, and then I'll do another later being my "what's going on atm" post.

Ok well firstly, MEGADETH KICKED MAJOR ASSHOLENESSITY! Soooooooo friggn good seriously, everything came up so awesome live. So here's what happened Friday. We got up and went into the city, went to Utopia (kickass CD/merchendise store) where I bought a Megadeth single for Dave to sign and Dill bought...Black Label Society I think, anyways then we went to Paddys market to look for a Megadeth shirt for Dill abd found one, cost him 25 bux which is pretty good. So the signing with Dave was sposeda start at 2pm at Venue music, it was a bit after 12 and we decided to walk past and see if anything was going on yet. There were about 8 people there lining up already, so we decided to join the cue. By the time 2 o'clock rolled around there was a line of 400 people down the alleyway next to Venue, and we were about 10th in line. So we get in there and it wasn't only Dave, it was the whole friggn band!!! We got some photos with Dave that I might post when I get them off Dill, I got a Marshall shirt, a poster of Mustaine and the single I bought signed by the guys. Awesomeness.
So we went back to my Dads place, sat around for a bit, then got two buses out to the concert which was at UNSW in Randwick. We were there at about 6, doors opened at 8. The line was about 25 people long when we got there, but we saw some guys we met at the signing and that Dill knew from the Megadeth forums at the very front of the line, so we went and pushed infront of them lol and were at the very front. Problem however. It was the over 18's entry, which was the floor, and the all-ages entry went to the balcony (which was about 4-5 metres above the floor...just to high to jump off....or was it). So doors open and guess what. "You're not getting in without photo ID" so we were relegated to the balcony. View was sick anyway. Dill's mate Mit and his friend, who actually are 18, didn't have their ID so they were up there too...dickheads :P
Dungeon were the support band (they're an Aus metal band) and they were sick, I wanna get some of their stuff now, they had a pirate song! Jhar! The singer was awesome, sang so goddam high.
Megadeth came out at 10. As soon as the lights went out, one of Dills buddies from the forums did a running jump off the balcony, ran into the middle of the pit and didn't get caught. I'm surprised he didn't break his leg. Megadeth went OFF, we were so close we could see the strings on their guitars, probably only 15m between us and them. People were constantly being crowdsurfed over the barrier, and one guy was being crowdsurfed and everyone pulled his pants down, so there was just this ass being surfed over a crowd of people and over the barrier, funny as. So we moshed all through the set, it got to the point where I could feel my head separate from my neck and just drop to the floor below, but that didn't stop me ay. In the last song (Holy Wars) Dill and I started pulling at the curtain that overhung the balcony, it went the whole way around the balcony (which was 360 degrees) and it was only held on with velcro so we ripped the whole thing off, before the end of the song everybody else had ripped it too so it was 3/4 on the floor below! Man me and Dill are awesome :P By the end of the show, both my shirts were soaked through with sweat and smelt like cigarette smoke and pot. Dill threw his singlet over the balcony in the last song and when he retrieved it,it was covered in beer. So we got the taxi back and slept very well.
The next morning, after i washed my hair, it still smelt like cigarettes, it was seedy as.

So then Sunday we went to see the mighty Manly Sea-Eagles flog the bejesus out of the previously undefeated Canberra Raiders, which has us positioned 2nd on the ladder only 3 f/a points behind Canberra. It's ok, we have the Bunnies at home this week, we've won 7 in a row at Brookie, should rack up some points to regain 1st place.

So there you have it. Major funness. Can't wait til the next good band that comes down under. You should come next time. Yeah I'm talking to you. Punk. :P
If anyone out there is interested to hear some Megadeth, i recommend the songs Trust, Hangar 18, The Scorpion. Damned cool songs. Okies, Finch is out, latas.
