Many of you will probably know the story behind my username and its meaning :) However...

I love the meaning behind your username.
So much cooler than mine.
When I was in high school I use to wear colored contacts and I always worth the red ones and my one teacher said to me one day that my eyes looked like garnet, which was her birthstone, and which also happens to be my favorite gemstone.

My natural color is a really light blue.

Eh, I wish I had blue eyes :)) What I have is a mix of light hazel and light green. People can't decide on which one prevails hehe XD

Not to rub it in but I love my eyes. Its a really unique blue color I've been told. Its a very bright color blue.
Yours sound very pretty though. Very exotic.

Wow, pretty! It made me remember the eyes of my fave ever professor at Uni. I think all of the girls had a little crush on him even though he's in his fifties. His eyes were fluorescent blue. I remember our group having a consult before the exam, and he sat right against the sun. The eyes reflects the soft light in a mesmerizing way :)
