Hana Yori Dango 2 (2007)

Well, however tired I am I still feel like writing a few words about Hana Yori Dango 2...

*picspam I can feel your breath right behind me. not today honey. not today.*

First thing I learnt is... never make promises to self you know you're not going to keep :))

I promised myself I will never EVER watch Hanadan all through the night. Well... last night I watched 7 episodes in a row. Half into the night, does that count? :) Just because I couldn't make myself stop. And because the cliffhangers were so nasty. And I wanted to shoot the scriptwriters for doing that.

I think that second season is just as good as the first one. It is ridiculous in a way what they're throwing the two into but as long as His Majesty's Curls show up on the screen they can find a way out, it's all good.

I really LOLed so hard and loud that my parents were afraid of me. I also cried as much as I did in the first season (I bawled like a baby at both sad and happy moments). And sang along with the Love So Sweet at every. single. opening! Yeah, all the seven of them yesterday! :)

And you know I finally understood why I fell in love with this story. Well, it's like that last piece of the jigsaw puzzle was put in place. What do we usually see in movies now? They meet, they kiss, they make out, they swear, they quarrel, and make out again, and then with the second, third, fourth, and then come back to where they were... (however much I do love Sex and the City series but...)

And here... Tsukushi and Tsukasa just hold hands. They just hold hands and that's it! And you feel complete. This is something so pure and fragile, so real and sincere. I might well be overly sentimental but this kind of love really enthralled me.

Thank you, Jun and Mao, for this magic.
