so i'm sitting around today and i realize that next week will be a month for being here i lovely berea...
i can't beleive it's already been a month, really...it's been so fast and fluid...
if this keeps up, then it'll be christmas break and next summer before i know it. it's nice i think. i'm already 1/32nd's way through my college career.
that's simply amazing.
so far i've been happy here. i've my downs, mainly extending from coming back after having an amazing weekend with friends, leaving my loves, and not seeing the one person in the world i want to see above all others. i wake up in the morning--now of course i don't want to get up--but i'm ready to get up, if that makes any sense.
my head is clear for the most part, i'm complacent, i'm excited for class, and my job is an odd one with me right now. i'm split 50/50--dead even--as whether i love it, or hate it. i think i love it, the people are great, and the work is for the most part interesting. though, something about it makes me dread it in a way. i think it's merely the fact that, bar tuesday and thursday, i have to get up at seven thirty or eight thirty to go work. yeah, that's probably it...
this past weekend was amazing. went to the gorge with boyd, seth, jeff and lena. we hiked saturday about six miles, spent the night at the base of gray's arch, then hiked about four miles back to the car. it was a bitch. 10 miles up and down mountains, with--for me at least--fifty pound load in my kelty. it was awesome. cannot wait to do it again come late october, early november.
damn. if i wasn't so beat from the last trip i'd say i want to go again this weekend...actually i do. i want to go again this weekend.
but no, this weekend seth's coming down to get me and we're either hanging out in lexington or heading back home...probably the latter
i'm in awe as to how the touch pad on a laptop won't respond to anything other than human skin. it's...amazing. not even your nails!
my list: tea, wilco!!!!, aerosmith - sweet emotion. by far the greatest rock recording ever recorded. no arguing with me, people
so, in case i don't see ya', good afternoon, good evening, and good night
