It's my birthday!!!!
Woo! I'm 24! Woo....I guess. Life in Salisbury is getting harder and harder. Wanda is losing employees left and right and there isn't anything she can do about it. I hate to say it but she's a horrible manager. Since she became store manager, Peter left (main magazine guy), Brian left(cafe/music), Matt left(cafe), Bethany left(music/bookfloor), I'm leaving, Gena wants to leave, Warren wants to leave, Abbie wants to leave, Melissa is leaving, Cindy wants to leave....it's going into the crapper. That right there is the majority of the staff. I think Wanda was caught off gaurd when Melissa put in her 2 weeks today. Melissa just became a lead within the past few weeks and just like that, is up and leaving. I don't blame her.
I'm leaving. We, Chip and I, are leaving. We're moving to Wheaton on September 16th. Woo! We're finally on our way to our own life. Oh yea, that reminds me...we're having a moving party on 9/16 so if you want to help us move in exchange for some lunch/dinner and possibly an alcoholic drink or two, let me know. My last official day at Salisbury BN is 9/14 and I couldn't be happier about that. Let me tell you what is happening to me at that damn store. I know this might not sound so bad but it still pissed me off. Two weeks ago I asked for Labor Day weekend off. Saturday Chip and I had a wedding to go to and Sunday we were going to celebrate my birthday with family. Well, I had gotten Saturday off and I assumed that I was also getting Sunday off since none of the manager told me otherwise. Well, they didn't post the schedule until Friday and lo and behold, I was scheduled to work Sunday 1-9:30. So, I called out sick. I could have tried to find someone to cover me but I figured, fuck them. They lacked to communication to let me have off and that wasn't my fault. What kills me is that I was 1 of 2 people they did that to. The other person was Christina, a cafe worker who was actually out of state this past weekend and was scheduled to work on Sunday. WTF? They are totally screwed up, assholes.
I can't wait to be out of here....
