Fuck Barnes and Noble
The Barnes and Noble in Salisbury is currently running on a skeleton crew which means of course means that when at work, I have to work twice as hard and tonight was freaking horrible. When I got in at 3pm, it wasn't that bad. I started working on the bestsellers and I was helping customers and all was good. Around 4pm, a new employee came in and I had to show her around the store. Not a problem. Well, while I was showing her around the store, I was also the only customer service person so it took twice as long bc I had to keep stopping to help a customer or answer the phone or both. Each time she waited paitently which was awesome. Oh, and because it took me 2 hours to show her around, I wasn't able to take my first 15 min break. Fine, whatever, I almost always miss one of those breaks anyway. Well, Carroll got to leave at 8:30 instead of 9:30 so I didn't get my second 15 min break either. That's fucking pushing it assholes. I'm sorry but I really do work my ass off for this company and I fucking deserve my breaks and tomorrow I don't care what they have me doing, I'm taking my breaks.
On a side note, I talked to Frances about me leaving. I told her that if all goes well when we do the drive by on Saturday night, then on the 16th, I am out of there. She threatened to tie me to the chair to keep me from leaving. But how would I do any work?
