Cut to about a half hour ago, six-something am. I'm done snoozing, and I've gotten up to write a response paper for my philosophy class. I'm pretty groggy because I've never really been a morning person, and it's always hard to leave a warm bed when it's cold outside. I go to the bathroom, and, as I'm coming back, I look out the common room window at Wharton Courtyard. It's covered with snow, and snow is falling at what I consider a rapid pace. I come back to my room and wake up Marjorie. We stare in awe for a bit - honestly, it never snows like this at home - and then Marjorie tries to go back to bed, I try to go back to do my work. Only it's sort of impossible. Instead, we end up putting on our winter coats over our pajamas and some shoes and going outside. We threw snowballs and made just about the most lovely snow angels possible. And it's only November.
It's a shame that I'm going to Georgia today, of course, for the SOA protest today at five. Oh well, at least I have a whole day in the snow. And now... philosophy paper!
