Back to Life / UK studio diary.

Hello everybody,

yep, I guess I'm ... back to life. Or well, back online at least. Now with the news and everything I try to keep this as updated as Translating Uniklubi, but tbh I sort of neglected both this lj as well as the connected myspace-page ever since I was working on / with the website. webs is just so much more practical...

Anyway, the guys are busy both recording their fifth album and updating the current Studiodiary. This is what they wrote so far. (The first 4 translations were written by Nightingale.

Read them all here....

Hello.
I thought about starting a new topic "Uniklubi in the studio 2010". I and the other guys will go to the studio on Monday and we'll spend several days in there. That means that there will be moments when we come here to share our feelings and to inform you about what's going on. Keep on checking up this topic.
See you ;)

Salut.
Good heavens... tomorrow at twilight our team will enter the depths of Hollola. I'd say that it's gonna be great. There have been ideas about 100% live recordings and stuff like that. It's amazing to start the process using totally new methods and pretty much on our own conditions. The wind of change is blowing, to put it in a poetical way. The promo pictures and the album cover pics have been shot and we already know the name of the album! But I can't reveal it until allowed.
There are thirteen songs that are more or less ready. In three weeks' time the album should be 95% finished, or totally finished. I hope that we can give you some tastings already in May. I can't wait for you to hear these songs.
Yeah.
Meanwhile, get your kicks out of Paula. ;)

Greeting from Hollola, also from me. Mauno Muttinen [Antti] is already tuning up his drums and we're abobut to start recording the first songs. At the moment the song has a working title "[They're] Wrapped up in silk" and that's a good point to start the journey towards the abyss of the upcoming album. There will be more reports as the week proceeds so stay tuned...what?

Guitars are being played for "You paint my minde". The atmosphere is great, of course. Tomorrow I should be singing... yeah!
We're trying to get as much videos as possible for the studio diary but editing and shooting take some time so you'll see them later on at MySpace. :)
I might add some photos to the diary, too.
Bye.

Our band is on fire, I say so myself... The song "Hopea" (Silver) works wonderfully.
That's what it's always supposed to be. [?] In the fridge there's nothing but pears. [?]
[note: the "pears" probably come from a reading mistake one of the forum's users mentioned in their posting]

Hello there.
The first week is over now and the feeling is really good, the reluctant brain starts going back from all that concentrating. The bases for 5 songs are finished! "You paint my mind", "Silver", "Vigilant Coma"*, "[They're] Wrapped in Silk" and "Your time is now". ("Sinä maalaat mieleni", "Hopea", "Valvekooma", "Silkkiin käärittyinä", "Aikasi on nyt".) And [...]. The cooperation with the new producer works smoothly.  It's gonna  be great.
Back to work on Monday morning, you'll get to hear more then!

[* that might not be the right "medical" term, but i suppose the word is from "valveilla", i.e. being awake, and then "kooma" is self-explanatory. German has a straight translation: "Wachkoma"]
