Devachan still rules
Haircuts today for me and Bree. Four times a year I actually let someone pamper me without feeling uncomfortable. Four times a year I look forward to indulging myself. Four times a year my Bree and I spend a couple of hours being taken care of and emerge looking like perfection. Yay Devachan.
I remember a discussion with a co-worker, also curly haired, about our trips to Devachan. She was lamenting the fact that few hair stylists really know how to work with curly hair. I agreed and suggested Devachan. She was horrified when I told her how much a haircut was. Yes, $120 a haircut is horribly expensive. But now instead of getting our hair cut every 6 weeks we get it cut 4 times a year. When our hair grows out between cuts, it still looks great, unlike the cheap cuts we used to get. Our hair stylist, Robert, actually listens to what we want. I have long hair now, no more mullets, no more hair cuts with the "thinning" comb, no more shag cuts, because Devachan knows curly hair. Expensive? Hell yeah but it's worth every damn penny to not look like a sheep dog or something out of a bad movie from the 70's.
