An open letter
Hi Uncle Bob,
Happy Birthday! I wish you were here to celebrate in person but you know I'll be thinking of you all day. Your high school ring is actually shining in the glow of the computer screen as it sits on the middle finger of my right hand. I often wonder how much richer my life would have been if you were still here. I wonder if I would have taken those early left hand turns in life or if having you around would have helped me cope better when the big stuff came down the pipe. You were my favorite Uncle, not because you bought me stuff but because having you around was like having a second dad. I still love you lots. I wish my kid could have met you. She would have loved you. Oh the mischief the three of us could have caused. :)
