(no subject)
My mother and sister came to visit last week. The only thing I can remember doing while they were here was visiting the dolphin aquarium. Where is my mind going?
Other than that...Daniel and I went hiking on Sunday to a place called Big Falls at Mt. Charleston. It was one of the better hikes I've been on. You follow a trail halfway up the mountain, since it is no longer maintained by the usfs it is a bit difficult to navigate. Then you reach a creek bed and from there it's bouldering all the way up. Once you get to the top there is a 20 ft ice cold waterfall. Very beautiful. To get there and back it's about a 2 1/2 hour deal but if you keep going higher beyond the 20 ft waterfall you will eventually reach a larger one. We didn't do that though A. because I was wearing trail running shoes, not hiking shoes and B. The sky had been grey and thundering for the last hour and I didn't want to be stuck on top of a mountain in a thunder storm.
I'm also moving to Tulsa, Oklahoma at the end of August. Daniels goint to school for dentistry and I'll be enrolling in a nursing program. Yippee. We got a 2 bed 2 bath 1,000 sq. ft apartment with a perty bay window. The kitties will have even more carpet to tear up.
I will miss my resort style swimming pool, palm trees, and fancy schmancy gated community but it is for the better. We'll be able to get school done there without having insane living expenses. Also, Daniels mom/dad/brother/grandma and misc. other people live there so we won't be in aplace where we don't know anyone.
Wedding plans coming along. Been feeling like calling it off lately. The more stuff I have to do and the closer we get to the day makes me feel more sick over it each time. Barf.
Whatever though. Once in a life time.
Glen or Glenda...worst movie ever made. At least Plan 9 made some sort of sense.
Mexicans tiling the floor right now listening to spanish swing music. Strange.
