Today I'm proud to be a student at this school
A student here has had problems. Due to her missing school due to her mother being ill, CSN - that supplies student loans - took hers away. Which meant that she had to leave school. We found this out yesterday. Today we all gathered up and chipped in to cover her expenses for the remaining few weeks. Because it would suck if she couldn't finish and not get her diploma due to bureaucracy.
It won't take much from us. It's not that much money that's required. And, with how many students that has chipped in, we're down to a sum each that anyone of us could have easily spent during an afternoon at a cafe.
We were slightly worried that she wouldn't accept our help, but she did. She was supposed to leave tomorrow. Now she can unpack her bags again.
