Last night when I was getting ready for bed, around 4 am or so, my tap sprung a leak. While I wasn't risking a flood, the hot water wouldn't turn off for some reason. Half an hour later I finally realized that I wasn't going to be able to fix this. I was in fact making matters worse. And with it being closer to morning than the middle of the night, I couldn't exactly call someone to fix this. With nothing left to do but to wait until morning, I went to bed. I have to say, though, that it's not all that easy to sleep with a running tap on.

So up at eight. Find the kitchen staff, who could call a janitor. He showed up around nine. Then left. Came back just as I was falling asleep. Left again. Came back forty-five minutes later with another guy. They had gotten it sorted out by lunchtime.

This means: barely three hours of sleep, followed by a couple of short fifteen-minute naps. Practically crashed into bed after lunch and did manage a couple of hours of sleep. After dinner I've been going around in a daze, with aching eyes and being so tired that I was practically feeling nauseous.

Now, though? At a suitable time to go to bed and sleep for the rest of the night? I'm simply not tired anymore. Body, what the hell? Don't go from exhausted to wide awake without a reason!
