William Blake and Alistair Crowley
Urgh, trying to get my brain set right, watched the end of the Anne Frank thing the BBC had on last week last night followed by a documentary about her and her family. Had bad holocaust dreams last night and its been all playing on my mind all day...
Anyway, I had a good weekend. Scott came here and we just hung out at mine, I had some booze but he is having a month off!
On Saturday we just went for a brief outing, ended up in the Port to get some supplies, had a moment of panic when I thought I had lost my wallet but it was at home in the bag with my new Wii Remote! Watched the Darts semi-finals and then went and got some Goa curry, yumm!
Watched Bruce Dickinson's film based on Alistair Crowley 'Chemical Wedding', well what can I say....It had more Iron Maiden references than you can shake a stick at, Bruce was in it three times apparently but we only spotted him once, it had every bodily fluid in it you could imagine (except puss), lots and lots of rudeness and ritualistic sex in it. It was an experience, but pretty funny on the whole!!
Decided on a bit of culture again on Sunday and made the trip to Liverpool to see the William Blake exhibition Neil had told me about. There were about 50 paintings, was very good, they had 'The Ghost of a Flea' which is one of my favourites :) Back through Liverpool and ordered me some new Dr Martens from Schuh which don't look like Dr Martens but more punky/armyish!
Had a roast dinner and watched the darts final, good game, The Count won this year! Watched some old Transformers cartoon and a bit of Rab C Nesbit!
Not managed to get the gym yet this week, must stop going to town as the Zavvi sale keeps dragging me in!! Just waiting now for Kira to pop round this eve!
