Time for a mid-holiday update! So last Tuesday was the trip to Blackpool with Marf. Went for a wander around the shops, pier and looked at the Dr. Who lights and took some amusing pics :) Met up with Marf's mate Sean and then we walked up to the Pleasure Beach mainly for me to go on Valhalla, it was well worth the £7. It was a giant indoor logflume with beasts and dead Vikings, an icey room, huge flaming balls of fire, a giant hammer and lots of very high flumes in the dark, I got soaked!!
Went for a drink in the Pirate themed bar, it had paintings with moving eyes, har har and talked about old films. After chips we drove to get Scott and headed back to mine to pack and prepare for the next day.
Got a lift to the Airport from Dad and got there pretty early, messed around on the gym equipment in the lounge and ate all my butties! Flight was fine and we got the train to Amsterdam and into our hotel easily enough. Went for a wander about and started off a bit early getting smashed. Had a wander round the red light district (the prostitutes don't looks real), some coffee shops, got some food, had a bit of a rest at the hotel before heading off to find The Cave. It was pretty good, lots of Metal, free 'apple pie' shots and we made friends with a German bloke called Joacim! I moved onto Jaegermeister as it was the cheapest thing (drinks seemed to be very pricey everywhere) which was a mistake looking back as it practically wiped me out for half the next day!
So after I finally recovered and Scott got me food that I could eat without feeling worse we continued our wanderings! Its so easy just to wander about aimlessly there! Went to the Waterloopian flea market which was pretty ace, saw an old birdcage with ferris wheel horses on which I really did want! Also went in the most amazing shop which sold fantasy/jewellry but the inside was themed like a magic forest! Went and got some falafel and then after a quick rest at the hotel we went on a mission to find somewhere playing the Everton game, managed to find it and we were mightily chuffed when we won! Went on a coffee shop crawl but took it a bit easier! We managed to bump into Joacim again in the two other rock bars we went to that night!!
After our breakfast of ham and cheese sandwiches (how do people on the Continent eat that every day?). We went off to find the Cat Museum, found it after a while. It was only small but great, a house full of paintings, ornaments and artifacts all cat related. There were also lots of very friendly real cats wandering about :) Had a wander to Dam Square and took in a few more sights, I did like the two Grim Reapers wandering around! Alas it was time to go home, all went smoothly again and got picked up by Mum and Dad! Had dumplings and goulash and then just chilled out before going to bed.
Scott headed to Swansea to do a gig on Saturday, I didn't do a whole lot in the day except catch up with some stuff I had recorded. Later on went with Marf to pick up Neil and then Matty & Kate to go to surprise Iain after his marriage to Sal (congratulations!). Not much of a surprise as Iain had already seen Matty and Kate as they left the wedding!!! So we had some champers and saw everyone, Sal looked really great and it was nice to meet the families. Drove home and dropped in the Goa for a curry, and home to watch Sleepy Hollow. So tired!
Sunday was also very lazy but I'm on my hols so its OK! for the first time in over 5 years I plugged in the Playstation as I have now decided I must finish Final Fantasy IX, was a bit rusty at first but I am hooked once again even if I have forgotten how to put fire out over character's heads during battles! So three hours passed quickly and Scott returned. Had a roast dinner and then watched the rest of Return of the King :)
Today I went to see Day Watch which was fantastic, and as I suspected a lot of it was from the first book!! I should really now go and pack for Berlin which is from tomorrow 'till Friday!

[Updates as I remember them!]
- AK-47 is ace stuff!
- We saw (monstrously huge) prostitute boobs as some of them flash them at passers by to tempt them in!!
- The take-aways there are far too tempting and tasty, imagine if Willy Wonka went into the snack food business!
