I've been so busy this last week I haven't had time to update but lets see what I can remember!
Last Friday I went to Scott's, stayed in with a few cans and watched telly, something about Robert Maxwell and then Peep Show. The next day Scott went to his band practice and I went for a wander round Southport, talked to Martha and then went to get my hair cut and had it dyed dark brown, looks much better now, was too 'multi-tonal' haha!! Tis only semi-permanent but I think I may have it done permanently, see how it goes. Met up with Scott (who was very impressed with the hair) and went for a wander as it was a nice day. We had Lidle's amazing Lasagne before going out on what was 'my first stag do' haha as scott's mate Mark is getting married today! It wasn't wild or anything we met in a pub where a 60's cover band were on, we were SO impressed when they did both of Spinal Tap's 60's tracks 'Listen to what the Flower People Say' and 'Gimme Some Money'! Went on to the Fox, was very drunk but everyone had a good time.
Sunday I got up and waited for an age for Scott to get up, then we just took it easy! For dinner we had Hot Dogs, then we rented 'Stranger than Fiction' and Borat which we watched with Andy. The first film was ace on many levels, such a good idea for a film, a man who hears his life being narrated and realises he is the character in a book being written, however the narrator warns of his iminate death so he has to try to stop it! Borat was still funny the second time!
Monday was very significant as it was Scott and my 5th Anniversary of being together :) We went to the Botanic Gardens which is always nice, there was a peacock showing off and running after a pigeon. In the evening we went out to a Greek restaurant which was really, really, nice. Not had much in the way of Greek food before but I have been converted!! Was a good day, after five years were are still so happy together and just so right for each other. I had to head home for work in the morning, boo!
Tuesday I got to relax at home and watch Daizel & Pascoe which I taped specially as Richard E. Grant was in it, was good and full of occult stuff to! Wednesday I went with Neil to Manchester to see first of all Blood Tsunami who were really good thrash, Kreator style at times, headbanged like a maniac for them! Zyklon were on next they started off a bit slow but perked up after playing stuff from World ov Worms. Was pretty empty the gig but it meant we could go at the front. I won't mention the support bands as they were that bad!!
Thursday, Scott came over before I dropped him off at the station to go to The Neurotic Deathfest in Eindhoven. The journey I believe went quite slowly but he's texted me to say its all going well. I watched the semis of Eurovision, so funny, there were two Rock bands and lots of bizarre moments, think I will watch the final tonight!
Last night I went out with work to a place in Chester called Euro Asia, it does Indian and Mediterranean food, it was excellent, I had a Biriyani which was huge and one of the best I've had! Then we had a few drinks in City Bar before Mum kindly picked me up.
Think I shall have a lazy weekend, catch up with some reading and just take it easy.
