36 Weeks and Counting
Less than a month before our son is born, and everything is still going smoothly. Annie had the first of her "every two weeks" appointments this week. The doctor said she wasn't dilated at all and the baby is over 7 pounds already. The doctor made her own prediction of an 8lb 2oz baby that would most likely not be born before the 40 week mark. Annie is starting to think he's going to be 10lbs or more.
Annie also had her last baby shower which meant we were able to go and buy the rest of the stuff we still needed on our Babies R Us registry at 10% off since we're in the last month of the pregnancy. Babies R Us has really been awesome this whole time. We had such a bad experience with Target for our wedding registry that this has been such a relief. Since we saved so much money and had so many gift cards we used the extra money left over to get an HD camcorder to record the early moments in our son's life.
Yesterday, I properly installed the infant car seat and we started packing for the hospital so we will be ready for the big day. My dad also built us a beautiful cradle that will be perfect for when we bring the baby home and the first few months of his life.
