kyttn and I are safely home from GAFilk, having had a good con! I'll be resting a little and she's talking with her daughter. I may write some sort of con report later, or may not. It depends on my mood.

As kyttn has said, we're home from Conterpoint, having had a fun time. I'm very tired, so not going to write much at this point, but I will say that I had an absolute blast having my (new, early birthday present from my wonderful wife) laptop there, being able to do things online and uploading pictures from the digital camera. I had been going to post about an interesting karate class, where the man who founded our school gave us instruction, but I learned that a friend from filk died today, so I have been distracted by reading the tributes to him from his brother's LJ instead. We made it home safely from GAFilk - no pouring down rain meant that the trip back took 8 and a half hours instead of the 9 and a half that it took getting down there. A good time was had by all. More later as I have time.

My stepdaughter is coming to Concertino, but we have not yet been able to find someone for her to share a room with. Since her mother is not coming, I made arrangements to share with other folks. She'd prefer to be with females, non-smoking.

I'm going to be at Concertino, June 16-18. I've already gotten approval to have Friday the 16th and Monday the 19th off from work. kyttn, being the wonderful person that she is, thinks I should take a few days on one side of the con to be able to spend some time with friends in the area. Has anyone heard of RavenCon? They are apparently starting a SF con in Richmond the weekend after next (April 21-23, 2006). The program looks rather rigorous - 3 tracks from 3PM till 10PM Friday, and from 9AM till 11PM on Saturday! OK, kyttn, lovensong87 and I are home from a wonderful weekend on Toronto. Lots of cool things to talk about, but after driving over 12 hours and needing to work tomorrow, I'm not going to go into them at the moment.

I will say, however, that the whole concomm deserves many thanks for running a consistently delightful con year after year.
