This is kind of cool. I decided that it's high time I read some of John Le Carré's books. I've been meaing too for several years, since the film of "Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Spy" came out a few years back. The truly wonderful What Football Will be Like in 17776 has finished so now's a great time to sit down and read it.

It's a lovely little SF piece. Be warned that you'll need to watch videos and animations as well as reading text. It's worth it, though.

More specifically, Rivers of London. The Hanging Tree, the latest novel in Ben Aaronovitch's series was *finally* released in the United States on January 31st. I bought it on February 1st, finished it on February 2nd. It's quite a good read. I highly recommend the series if you haven't read them. First time in a long time that I didn't vote on the Hugos. I had no time to speak of so I didn't do ANY of the reading (although, for a change, I'd seen 4 out of the 5 BDP Long Form nominees). That's a record.
