Hi there LJ world! It's been a month since my last post, a month of hard work, countless hours spent in front of the computer, hours spent on reading, researching, planning, drafting, brainstorming but the progress is visible...I'm almost ready with 50 pages of the so-called theory part and next week I'm starting the analysis, and then my creativity is to take over and it must rule! My MA thesis is due for May 15th so keep your fingers crossed for me here!
Onto some other news, or I should rather put it differently, other than being totally freaked out and preoccupied with my thesis, I did as well.... go to the gym! Yes, that's really important and this makes me all happy and energetic, willing to write more, willing to take very long strolls and I tell you, Stockholm is so beautiful in the spring! It's warm and sunny and people are all cheerful and pretending that they've forgotten all about the dreadful winter season. The thing is, you need to wear spring sneakers, white is the colour in vogue, and the other important detail is: no winter jackets allowed, or perhaps if you happen to find yourself in a park, then it changes to- no jackets of any sort allowed, it's spring and it's warm, so be happy and enjoy the season of sunshine and people smiling to each other. As for me, spring means ice creams, and am very happy to live in the vicinity of Gelateria Italiana, best ice cream place ever! And isn't the weather spoiling us a bit? I was actually thinking about it. If there was some sort of a weather ministry I'd surely send them a Thank You note, thank you early spring for letting me wear my beautiful new trench coat and thank you for making me buy my new summer shoes bit earlier than I thought. What's better than shopping for shoes? Shopping for books and cosmetics, that is! I've already ordered three new novels from
Adlibris, once you started reading you can't stop. I'm reading one book a week which is a part of the assignment for my course in Norwegian Contemporary Literature... what I ordered is: Karl Ove Knausgård En tid for alt, Susanna Alakoski Svinalängorna and Stieg Larssons Män som hatar kvinnor. The first book is written by a young Norwegian writer and it said to be a masterpiece, the other two are written by Swedish writers, Alakoski has won last year's
Augustpriset and Stieg Larsson was a journalist and his novels received great criticism.
Well, life's been treating me fine but work is work and I need to start on it now... or the fairy lady won't help me here!
