(no subject)
Monday awesome. I'm flat out tired, and pretty sure the body is begging for rest. Can't do that, heh. 9 hr shift on Sunday, followed by a 12 pack shared with Johnny C. Friends again? I think I understand him now. Work is working out despite the lower amount of hours we are all getting at the moment.
I'm still pulling in the average hrs needed for savings. Thanks to John's help.
Anyway, Monday. Brian J. asked me to hang out but it didn't work for us this time. If he's available for a more typical Tuesday that might turn to be a better endeavor.
Ricky added me on FB today and asked what was up, so I got him off the couch for a night. Picked me up on the motorcycle. I was scared of them and I'm growing in my comfort. Now that I know how to maneuver and carry myself better. No burning on the hot metal that is the muffler, that is for sure. LOL. I still have a slight discoloration on my leg from way back in August. Lesson learned, and I wear pants. :)
We get to Bases Loaded. I still want Brian to try that food! OMG, it's awesome for being so cheap. I have a Blue Moon on Ricky's dime. 3 bucks there, even for the best drafts. Saw some old friends from Rock Bottom Records, Andy Allen included, who is working on a new album right now. I invite them to join us at Lous, which is a small hole in the wall bar, as I'm leaving the place. Ricky and I ride off after calling Andrew and Tim Nelson to join us for the rest of the evening.
I took it slow, and even made sure to ask them to watch over my drinking at Lous. I have things to do today, that I really didn't want to do hungover. I'm not today so WOOOHOOOOOO! Tim is, in a desolate state. I tried to console. He's been riding the unemployment train for a year now, and I know how that goes. In fact, we all tried to cheer his ass up, but he wasn't having it completely. Got to make him smile a few times though. I said, "I want to see the guy who broke up with me". Better yet, Andrew says, "The guy who broke it off with Liz, and went on his first date with Janet, in the same night, wearing the 'I can't help it if I'm awesome' T-shirt".
I totally agree, he needs some confidence. He's been talking to my friend Gina, and is interested in her. So maybe that'll fair well for him.
So yeah, Tim stuck around despite being mopey and I'm glad he did. Because ol Ricky eventually had one too many, and admitted as such. Told me it's better I catch another ride, since he didn't want me flying off the back of the bike. Good call, so I say my goodbyes to everyone, and call it a evening. I had fun, and remained, mostly sober once again. Love my nerdy friends.
Get home at midnight, and the DnD game is still going, so I ask to observe. I wasn't tired yet, and they had made mess, so I picked it up with Eddie. I lasted in observance, and the occasional jokes for 2 more hours. Then straight to bed, to wake up at 830 this morning.
Natalie finally got ahold of me for plans(man, it only feels like forever since February), and I'm going to grab some coffee with her this morning. In fact, getting ready as I come back to type this all out.
I've got a great day coming and it looks beautiful outside.
