She was sitting on Sunset Hill watching the trains go by, her face pressed against the rails and eyes dreamy. Only a heavy footfall gave him away but she scrambled to her feet immediately.
If Hayner were here... But he isn't, is he, it's just Olette and now Seifer.
"What are you doing here?" he demanded coolly, studying her with a smirk that almost made her want to wear one of the plastic bags in the trashcans. If she didn't know he turned that smug look on everyone in Twilight Town near enough his age to be bullied...
"It's not any of your business," Olette told him, "but I'm watching the trains." And if you don't go away fast I'm going to miss the one I'm waiting for.But the older boy meandered over to the railing where she'd been sitting and she shifted uncomfortably, drawing her arm tight against her side when he got close enough that she could reach out and touch him... if she suddenly lost her mind and wanted to get a bone broken or (best

I really love the Twilight Town kids, they're so full of fun existential issues. XD You're absolutely welcome, and I hope you like your second drabble also -- I have an idea for it, it's just waiting its turn. X3

Oh, this is so good it hurts. I loved that scene on Sunset Hill with Seifer, and I love how this is in the same place, kind of mirroring that.
I love the sense that they miss what should be there, but isn't. The game really gave Roxas some of the short end of the stick for closure, and I adore this little bit about the Twilight Town kids.

I loved that scene toooo, and the sense of Roxas being shafted by the game is entirely something I sympathize with. >_> So I like inflicting him on people and seeing how they react to him whenever possible!

"Wanna go to the park?" he blurts.
Olette gives him a strange look and kicks her legs in the air. She's lying on his bed, which he likes, with her textbook open, which he doesn't. "You asked me to come here to help with your physics homework."
"We can do it in the park," he says defensively. "It's nice out. Let's go to the park." Before it was nervous, not like him, but now he's fixed it and it's a demand instead. Olette shrugs and pushes herself upright.
Pence is going to kill me for this. Hayner rubs the back of his neck awkwardly as they step out into the bright sunshine. Pence (and was there another boy) will be furious if he messes up the long-standing bonds of their friendships because he's greedy, and Seifer will laugh at him. But this is important now and has been important ever since Rai started having unforgiveable thoughts
