New Year... New Entry, Website Updated
Hello all,
As I said , here it is after Ohayocon, and I’m doing my update. Sorry I’ve been kind of out of pocket, but we’re having massive problems with our DSL connection, so it’s a real crap shoot as to when we can get on and when we can’t. Anyway Ohayocon was incredible. It was a rough travel day, especially for poor Brittney. The night before we left her car was broken into and her digital camera and her carry on luggage was stolen. So she had to go to Wal-Mart in the rain and replace her toiletries and get plastic to put over her window. In all of the scurrying around, the wrong things got put in the wrong bags, and dispite the fact that everything was still in it’s shrinkwrap, T.S.A. threw away about 50 or 60 dollars worth of Britt’s cosmetics. Then we discovered that Brittney was not flying out with us (as she had requested) but was flying out on an 8:00 flight. At the time we discovered this it was about 1:30. So she went off to another terminal to sit and wait. Her plane was delayed and so she got into Ohio around 1:45, and then found out that her luggage had been sent to Jacksonville Florida. She finally got her luggage around 8:00 the following evening. Aside from that it was a fun convention. The roast for Monica was hysterical, Greg and the 9 D.J.s rocked the building both nights, the mock combat for cosplay went very well, and I made a ton of new friends. Including my twin. The last night of the convention is met someone who was almost identical to me, well not in looks she’s shorter and cuter than I am, but as far as all of my quirks and habits that make people compare me to Mr. Monk, she was matching them quirk for quirk, so that was an amusing Sunday evening.
