At Earlham---
Y'know that feeling that comes over you suddenly, and you know what it is but never thought it would happen? It's happened to me.
I've fallen in love.
...with Earlham College! SIKE! Sorry to get anyone's expectations too high. The people I'm meeting here are wonderful, the professors are funny and intelligent and hip, I'm understanding requirements, my roommate is charming (and a damn fine frisbee player), and the campus is beautiful. I couldn't be happier right now. Well, I guess it would make me happier if I were hooked up to the internet right now [I was writing this on my trusty yellow legal pad]. I'm using my trusty yellow legal pad [there ya go]. And, maybe it could be a little cooler outside but ANYWAY, I love Earlham and that's that.
The food is great, too.
Long trip here. We dropped Margaret off at the Portland airport on the 17th. I think that was hard for all of us, to say the least. She'll be in Belgium for the next year, if you didn't know. Then there was a lot of driving. And then I was here.
The enthusiasm of Earlham students is mindblowing.
