Showing Off
Just wanted to show this off:
Vivi wrapped up in my mom's handiwork. It's a lovely blanket. Brightly colored and fun. It looks like she managed to use every skein of yarn she owned to make it. It's also very soft and Vivi, as you can see, likes it muchly. Course, she's also become just a bit of a ham when I get the camera out. And the blanket was still warm from the dryer. Heh.
Work: My boss quit the other day, quite a blow. I'll miss him very much. He was most encouraging. I tend to feed off people who appreciate me and work twice as hard as I normally would. He fit the bill and I exceeded even my own expectations. (Remember the post about skipping a level? Exactly. All his fault, I assure you.) I gave him the address here, so hopefully he'll check in from time to time and comment...or at least read. I needed to expand the ol' horizons anyhow.
Amazons: I wanted to mention that I posted last about an Amazon that had died. This was an untruth. Some woman had hijacked her identity and posted as her, then when she discovered the real woman was returning from her vacation, posted as a 'friend' that she had died. It was disconcerting to say the least! The Amazons were up in arms, as was the Amazon herself. She also attempted to join our tribe, but was thwarted as three of the other Queens got together with the real Amazon and shut her down. Her email no longer works. Go figure. There are other developments, but I'm saving that for another day.
Think that's about it for now. Have to go in tomorrow and decorate the walls at work. That should be entertaining. :)
