(no subject)
I've got a new LJ layout, background, whatever it's called. It's a picture I (or more likely my Dad) took in Egypt of one of the Karnak obelisks. Also have a new icon, which I slapped together in about thirty seconds. I managed to find a decent picture of the feather of Maat online, despite the campus' network telling me, every time I tried to search Google images, that "this website is blocked because of organizational policy" or something like that. I figured that they must be blocking us from searching for images for fear we might be looking up porn. I was going to be seriously ticked off. Fortunately, it seems to be working now, so I guess it was just a glitch in the network. Yes, all hail CU's great, award winning campus computer network. *end dripping sarcasm*
Well, the euphoria from surviving my speech wore off in a hurry. But it was nice while it lasted. I've got an important biology exam on Friday hanging over my head. I'm nowhere near ready for it, and yet here I sit at 1:34 in the morning updating my LJ instead of studying. I don't know why I can't just make myself study. I'm an expert at avoiding it at all costs. If I end up bombing the exam, I'll probably have to get a tutor for biology. There's some irony...I need a tutor for the very subject I'm majoring in. Boy, do I feel intelligent. Methinks I see a major switch in my future...if only there was something interesting to switch to...
