Spring has sprung and life is busy and fun and full.
The flu came and went and left in its wake a sinus infection. After days of suffering I caved and contacted the doctor AGAIN. A round of antibiotics later and I feel like a normal person again, able to breath with clear nasal passages, move without achy muscles and leave the house without tissue.
The weather is warming and it is time to enjoy. Hubby and I spent a FABULOUS weekend at the beach. One day was a bit windy but nothing that got in our way. There was LOTS of sunshine and we spent the days walking along the surf, eating seafood, doing a little bit of shopping and just in general enjoying being next to the ocean. It was a last minute trip and I'm so glad we pulled it together.
The coming weeks hold more adventures as we have our rescheduled trip to Texas to see the family and the first camping trip of 2013 coming up all within the next month. It will be interesting to see what Crash (the new dog) thinks of camping. He is a good dog and is fitting in well and so so so sweet. However, he has some separation anxiety. It is around me in particular. He finds it stressful when I am away and bays while I am gone. This will not make him a welcome guest in the campground while he is hanging out in the trailer and I am riding the trails...we'll see how it goes.
It is raining today which makes it a perfect day to meet my girlfriend for lunch. This evening hubby and I have the kick off event for a riding group we joined this year. It was supposed to an outdoor potluck but with the rain they have moved it indoors to a local restaurant. I'm looking forward to getting to know the members and planning our first ride of the year.
