Paint her chalk white, see if she reacts...

Work and school and the internship really take up alot of time, I've realized. I never write in this anymore. Haha, I'm kinda over it, but here comes a fun update.

Last Monday, I met up with Alanna after Interview at the Virgin Megastore in Times Square. We shopped a bit and then headed over to Applebee's for dinner. Al told me of her story of her first time meeting Hanson. She gave Taylor some origami birds and fell silent. How cute is that? My first time meeting Hanson I can't remember what I said or did, but I know it wasn't as funny as that. So after the exchange of stories, we headed to Irving for this Rooney show that I was given tickets to being hosted by Sunglass Hut. We got in, walked up the red carpet and got our photo taken in front of the publicity board, real Hollywood premiere style. It was awesome. We saw good ol' Steve, chatted, and then went into the show. All the employees of Sunglass Hut were dancing their asses off, and this one guy was absolutely the most hysterical dancer I've ever seen. He had this tight black shirt on, tight black pants, patent leather shoes, bald head complete with sunglasses atop it and he was just groovin' to the music. Actually, he was convulsing to the music. He started very flamboyantly, probably thinking he was at a gay bar, and then went into this Jewish bar mitzvah dance, and I thought he was gonna hoist a chair into the air. Alanna and I were dying. Finally Rooney came on, and they sounded good, the new songs are promising, but the have no personalities. I hate bands like that. Ugh. So, after Rooney, we took some more pics, hung out with Steve a bit and then went our separate ways.

I got my schedule at work finxed and they finally allowed me to take off two days (first time, EVER) so I could go to two The Early November shows. On Saturday, Val and I caught some Cali Pizza Kitchen before heading out to the road. The trip up to Albany was horrendous. 150+ miles on the NY Thruway made me sick to my stomach. We got terribly lost a few times, but finally made it to the shantytown. This town consisted of a dry cleaner, a diner, this tiny venue and like a hospital. There were tons of little black kids running around, all thugged out, and chasing cops and whatnot. So we parked on a shady side street then went to the venue. We got inside, squeezed into a spot then met with Dorrie and Vicki. We missed Evan's band, The Progress and also Park and I was beyond pissed about that, but Limbeck went on and they were so great. They wore the cowboy boots and the plaid shirts and rocked out like nobody's business. After those bands, we went outside for some air. Two of the thugged out kids were hanging around outside, and throwing rocks at people. One kid ran to the cops and his brother said he was "situatin'" LOL. So they're all dancing and rocking the Sean John wear in their 3 foot tall bodies, when we start asking them questions. We find out the kids are 8 and 10 and they want to be rappers and pimps when they grow up. The 8 year old, had a freakin' gold tooth already right in the front of his mouth and it was beyond funny. He pointed at me and said I was his "woman" after the guys in Limbeck asked them what kinda of ladies he has at 8 years old. The the 10 year old pulled Val over and said she was his "woman." He started kissing me on the cheek, and I was so stunned I couldnt even move. Haha. Vicki also came over and Dorrie took a photo much to the amusement of everyone outside. Finally their mother showed up and pulled them away, not before the little one took a picture of my ass. How lovely. So, back on the inside, some random kid, nicknamed Creepy Drive-Thru kid, kept walking by me and sticking his hands down my pants. Ummm, HELLO. So we set him straight, and he ended up being in one of the bands. Eeeek. Endicott performed, nobody really cared, and then The Early November came on and set the place straight. Great Show, good vibes, fun all-around. Afterwards, we got accosted outside Valentine's by everyone, including drunk guys who wanted to stay with us and have us give them pleasure and Creepy Drive-Thru kid again. He just wouldnt leave me alone. We waited for Evan, then Val decided we needed to go, which we should'nt have, because had we waited 10 more minutes, we would've partied with TEN. Val, you TOTALLY owe me next time. ;) The drive home was unbearable, Val fell asleep for a while and my eyes killed. Home at 4, sleep, sleep, sleep.

On Sunday, I had no work, and wanted to see TEN again at the Downtown. I had neglected to get tickets because I didn't think I would sell-out, but now that Long Island has THE youngest and worst scene in the entire world, it did sell-out and I was thoroughly pissed. So, Vicki and Dorrie brought Stacey and they were getting in with Evan and I naturally had to find a way in, so I called a few people, then finally realized how dumb I was and called Jessy. She got me in for the show at 4:30 (i love you, Jess!) and I met with the girls. I saw my other partner in crime, Nicole, there as well as Bryan and Andy. Fun stuff. So, this time, I only missed Socratic, caught all of The Progress, Park,(soooooooo awesome) AND TEN. I hate Downtown crowds, and this was nothing different. After the show, Jess teenyied about her co-workers, haha, and we chatted with Jansen and Ladd from Park, and Adam from Socratic who asked me to be his girlfriend and even pinned me. Haha. So, we stayed at the Downtown just hanging out with all the bands until about 10, before saying goodbyes and going to the diner with Park. They were really funny guys, especially Miles and Jansen, who dubbed us all after female celebrities who we resembled. I was Jessica Biel, Dorrie was Christina Ricci and Vicki was Ali Larter. Oooh lordy. So we spent some time there, laughed a bunch and then all parted ways to go home. I got back to my dorm really late, or shall I say early, and skipped reporting today. Oh yeah, real rebel.

What's coming up? Ben Jelen? Maybe. The Goodwill? Possibly. Skate and Surf? Definitely. SIX FLAGS SEASON PASS HOLDER DAY!? THERE IS A GOD!
