Thursday night after class, I hopped a train home in order to get to work by 7 PM. I was supposed to work 7-12AM, which didn't seem too bad, but what I didn't know was that we were changing our entire women's floorset. It was hell. First off, after refolding everything on women's I was told to go to men's to do the same before heading to room 1 where Laurie, Chris and Nick were working. I made a new friend in Nick because he is hilarious and I was the only person who appreciated his dead baby jokes. Hey, they were funny! So I did my work in room 1, then went to room three to do two more racks, and Nick came in to help me out. We needed a whole bunch of pants and after I gave him a piggy back ride and he wrestled me to the couch, I went downstairs for hangers. On Nick's way down, he rolled his ankle and had to stay downstairs in stock for the rest of the night. Poor kid. :( So after that, Laurie and I did another table and it was time to go, but was I allowed to leave? Nope. So, I stayed, did another wall, tidied things up and then helped the other Nicole with one denim wall and was ready to leave again. Not a chance. I was forced to do another denim wall, and then help the managers and the 3 other people who stayed backstock everything. I left the store at 3:30 AM, saying that I was locked out of my house. I was so freakin' tired. I was feeling sick, and slept until about 2, got up, got Joey, went to get my paycheck, and to get Rebekah, my roommate, a present for her birthday party that night.
We got some goodies from A&F and on the way home realized we had no bag or card or anything, but we also had no time to get into the city on time for dinner. So we stopped at my house, I got dressed quick, we jetted to Joey's and I asked him as I'm driving if he had any tissue paper to use in the Abercrombie bag that we decorated. He assured me he had some, and he said "Like the Puffs, right?" And I go, "No, Joey, tissue paper, not toilet tissue." He runs upstairs and what does he bring down? A BOX OF TISSUES. TISSUES! I was like "You idiot, not runny nose tissues!" In realizing his stupidity, he slapped himself and we made due with what we had. LOL. So got in my car, drove into the city making good time until we had to find parking near the restaurant on St. Marks and 2nd Ave. It took us a good hour. Needless to say, we were late and rushing like hell in our California flip-flopness and me in a skirt to the bewilderment of everyone bundled in parkas and boots. We made it there, met everyone and had a lovely Korean meal with Bek, Stiv, Mr.Won, Jenn, Liz, and Bek's mentor/friend. It was in this cute trendy place with zero room, but the food was fantastic. Afterwards, Joey and I convinced everyone to get Bubble Tea, haha, what else? And we had alot of laughs and finally we headed out because it was getting late.
The next morning, on Saturday, I got up a little late because my alarm didn't go off, so I sped up, picked up Val and we started to New Jersey for Six Flags' Fright Fest. We got there around 12 and the weather was pretty decent. Val was wearing a tank with a hoodie over it and jeans, and I had a thermal, thin hoodie and jacket. We went on a good number of rides before the onslaught of kiddies, and even saw our old friend Alec on Medusa. We freaked out. He is beautiful. Absolutely adorable. Anyway, throughout the day Val keeps asking me if she has anything on her pants because she got her period. There was nothing everytime. So, we get in line on Nitro, see Omar Epps, and this god of a shaggy haired blonde walks by and Val nonchalantly walks behind him, and I look over at her and there are two red blotches on the back of her pants. Apparently I wasn't the only person who saw this and the two 14 year old boys in front of us were acting like idiots. Val walked over and I told her, and gave her my jacket, not prepared for the temperature drop that would occur in like 20 minutes. So the kids kept making commnts like "That's disgusting," and "That's so gross." They kept staring at us, and we were making jokes, acting all lewd and it seemed like everyone was in on our convo. This older dad type guy was giving me stink eyes, and trying to read our text messages while we waited in line. Finally after that, we went over to Rolling Thunder again where we were behind a group of 6 guys, aged 15-17 who were hitting on us. My Finch patch got their attention (as well as the attention of this random guy who we passed 2 billion times) and then after that it was all downhill. They asked us if we were available, and the only nice one of the group, Bill was such a sweetie and we were talking to him. They were hilarious kids though, too bad the only guys who want me and Val are jailbait. Grrrr. We were told to shift by this black girl who screamed "CRACKERS, move up!" So anyway, by this time, I'm freezing because its like 20 below outside, Val has my jacket, and the wait for rides reached 2 hours because it was after 4 PM, when you get in free, and getting dark. The people walking around were somewhat spooky looking...but overall, It wasn't that great. We had a good time, but yeah, I don't think Fright Fest is worth anyone's time. LOL.
Oh, and yes...this guy we met in line with his Russian mail order bride basically called us trashy because we have Season Passes. HAHA. At least we don't have to import our significant others. Or will we???
So, this week is going to be bad. I had a Media Midterm today which was completely off topic and not explained correctly. I tanked. Rach thinks she did too. We went to Starbucks after and cursed Murillo. Moe stayed late. I bet he does well. I have my Divas and Dancers Midterm on Wednesday, and I'm not prepared. Neither is Sarah, Beaux, Yuni, lets just say...ummm, the WHOLE CLASS. Jeske is a so off topic. He made this class a "Saturday Matinee," and didn't care to even tell us what we really needed to know. We're all doomed for failure. We'll see how that goes. Pray for me, kids! Later Skaters.
