Update on this week...
This week was certainly another busy one!
Sunday was good, church and Sunday school went well. Lunch was alright (hey, that's a pretty nice thing to say about lunch!). I worked on homework that afternoon. That evening, Abbi and I went to church and afterwards there was a bonfire. A serious bonfire! I'm talking super hot! Anyway, we hung out with a lot of people from the college department at the church, roasted marshmallows, ate hot dogs, and played Capture the Flag and Sardines in the dangerously thorny field. It was pretty fun.
Monday morning I had a pretty difficult history test. After that, chapel went well because we had an amazingly funny chapel speaker. The rest of the day I was busy with classes. That evening I went to a rock and roll party thing on campus with Farkas, Ryan, Stump, and Bly. They were dressed up as: George W. Bush, Dick Chaney, Condi Rice, and Tony Blair (in order). Those guys were so silly with their masks and going around acting like their characters. I dressed up as a Vietnam War protester, a.k.a. a hippie. I had tons of fun doing that! The music wasn't amazing at the party, but we still had a good time.
Tuesday classes kept me busy and I worked on homework that afternoon. That evening I went over the the guy's dorm and played some ping-pong. Bly beat me once, but I beat Lance 2 out of 3. He wasn't exactly thrilled to lose to a girl. That was pretty funny. After that, I went to what was called the Basketball Bash. It is a type of kickoff for basketball season. It was...interesting.
Wednesday was again a busy class day. There was a drama group in chapel that had a good but depressing skit that they ended with. So, Smalls and I had to sing happy songs on the way to lunch to cheer ourselves back up. :) That afternoon I was able to go skateboard a bit and read on the Forum. It was beautiful outside, so that was a great treat! That evening I went to church and did homework.
Today was good. I was able to say farewell to Bly and Farkas before they headed off to Regionals. Classes kept me busy this morning. In the afternoon I was able to snatch a nap before I had a mentoring session in my room and then a class scheduling/registration appointment. Both of those things went well. Then, I had some spare time before dinner that I used to...read for fun! The book is called "Under the Overpass." It's a great one! Then, I went to dinner with Smalls and Abbi. After that I had a school newspaper meeting. When I got back, Smalls, Jordan, Abbi, Char, Char's man and I watched "Pirates of the Carribean" on TV. I finally got to see the end! Yep, that's been today!
