It was tiring, using a cane. Hell, even putting on his trousers was tiring. And, of course, Ron hadn't been allowed to even move his left leg for four days, which didn't help.
They didn't want him to go so far his first time from the room, but Ron could certainly be strong willed. He was going to see Harry, and hopefully Hermione, and he was going to do it tonight. So he hobbled to the lift, went up two floors, and hobbled down the hall to Harry's room.
Ron knocked twice on the door before opening it without waiting for a reply and looking in from the hall.
"Harry?"
