Hermione had to get out. The house was much too quiet when no one was up and about.
Diagon Alley was one of Hermione’s favourite places, the familiar bustle made her feel at home, no matter she was surrounded by strangers. Making her way up the street, she’d already made a money conversion, a fresh load of gold weighing down her pocket.
Drawn to Flourish and Blots, as always, Hermione felt the weight on her shoulders lighten at the sight of all those books, stretching right up to the ceiling.
It smelt of leather, ink and the air was practically alive with magic.
She felt so much a child, unsure where to start when there was so much to see. ‘The Latest Charms- Modern Adaptations’ caught her eye and she reached for it, eyes already scanning the cover.
Flipping it open to the index, she leant back against the row of books, not wanting to obstruct the isle if anyone tried to pass.
