Draco slammed his journal shut, tucked it under his arm and stormed down to the drawing room and the floo. With barely a glance, he ordered Tibby to tell his parents where he'd gone. He hadn't bothered with his cloak. His shoes were barely acknowledged.
The article had bothered him, yes, but not because he had been shocked, but because he knew what this could mean for Severus, as well as his own family. And now, Severus was upset, self-destructive and refusing company. So, Draco would force himself on him.
He stepped into the floo and demanded in a clear voice. "Spinner's End."
After the disorientation faded, he stepped through the floo quickly, heading up the stairs to the room that had once been his. He glanced around for evidence of June, Zak or Glamis, but saw none of them. If they had heard Severus return, they would likely be avoiding any form of contact, especially as the moon was so close to full. Thank Merlin this happened today and not tomorrow. Had this happened on a night when Severus was forced to take care of the werewolves to the exclusion of everything else, Draco only imagined how much worse it would be if he had put it all to the side.
He knocked on the door to the room, having already placed his hand on the knob first. "Severus, let me in." It wasn't a demand, despite the words. It was a plea, a request, however urgent. The thought went through his mind if he would hex his way in, or attempt to, should entry be denied.
