After a day of shopping, Hannah was glad that there was nothing left for her to do other than hang out at the house. With a new baby to tend for she didn't think Seamus would have too much going on at the pub and she really didn't want to place herself in an arena where others might approach her for business. Upon her arrival home, Hannah heard the shower running and decided to surprise her father when he finished by having a quick meal ready for him.

In the kitchen, Hannah pulled out various cheese spreads so they could soften before she wrapped some small sausages in biscuits. A night fo card games, telly, and appetizer type foods were just what the doctor ordered for the evening. While the biscuits cooked Hannah mixed the cheeses and added a bit of onion to make a perfect cheese dip for the crackers she'd bought.
As she finished, Shawn made his way into the kitchen. His hair was combed and he was looking mightly spiffy. "Dean coming over?" he asked when he saw the oven on and the practically finished cheese dip.

"No, it's just us," Hannah smiled as she wiped her hands. However, when she turned around to look at her father the smile faded. "You're going out aren't you?"

"The Hale's have invited me to their home for the evening," he ran a hand through his hair. "With all the time you're spending in that other world I was sure you'd have something planned with your friends."

Hannah didn't want her father to feel guilty about her being alone for New Year's. "It's alright, Pop," she stated with a toss of her hand. "You go and have fun. I'll probably turn in early anyway."

Giving his daughter a quick hug, Shawn bid her a happy New Year and headed out for the evening. Hannah then turned her attention back to the food before her. "Well, at least I know there's enough for everyone."
