Molly hummed as she bustled about the kitchen, putting the finishing touches on the meal she had prepared for her family. She had been looking forward to tonight since she had announced her new ‘employed’ status to the children, along with the plans to hold a family dinner. She missed having all of her children around, including Harry, and with the way things had been lately, it was nice to know that her children were there for her. She could even tell that Arthur was genuinely happy for her, and for once, she hadn’t needed to persuade him to join her. He was currently reading the Prophet in his chair, to pass the time until the children arrived. Princess had also seemed to sense that something was up, considering that Molly was constantly tripping over her, as the cat insisted on staying under her feet. In a way, it was frustrating her, as she was trying to get the meal completed before everyone arrived, but Molly couldn’t help but smile at the thought that Princess was acting exactly like her children had when they were toddlers. After shooing her out of the way for what seemed like the millionth time, Molly carried the now finished cake she had made for Percy and Ginny to the center of the table, before settling into her usual chair, to wait for her family to arrive. Once she had, Princess leapt into her lap, and after situating the cat into a more comfortable position in her lap, Molly absently stroked her, watching the clock for signs of her children’s arrival.
