Empty looks thrown in both directions, as he stood at the door, Montague took a few minutes to take in the surroundings. The main attraction of the evening was to be the colour 'green', heobserved once again with dark satisfaction. Montague had always liked the place, however unusual it could have been for a Pureblood of his standing to frequent here. La Fee Verte had, undoubtedly, the best absinth on the entire island apart from his own stock- so was it not a solid reason alone for him to grace it with his presence ( ... )

He raised a brow. "You want to try your luck on a salad?" He was trying to look serious... and perhaps failing. If anything was to show imperfection in the preparation, it was uncooked vegetables. At least with something fried or grilled you really couldn't tell how old it was ( ... )

Pansy pulled a face back at him, but smiled at the same time. They were both so good at throwing jibes back and forth - it was good when it was all in fun ( ... )

"So nice to be back amongst loving friends," Montague remarked with visible satisfaction plastered all across his face, which he did not even try to hide. Pansy would have known better anyway.

With some acidic friendliness he looked over both of his companions, noting instantly how well Pansy was dressed and the sardonic (with some very hidden latent threat) look Perry had fixed him with. Sustaining an effective pause for a few prolonged seconds, Montague then addressed Pansy first, for much too numerous and nefarious reasons- half turning toward her and blocking Perry out ( ... )

Oh, that was nice. Apparently Montague didn't need too much cheering up when he was flirting with Perry's girlfriend right in front of him. And knowing Pansy she was going to milk it for all it was worth. Well, Perry knew exactly what he was going to do!

He turned back to his menu and ignored the both of them. There was no point getting riled up, or even reading too far into it - and besides, he wasn't giving them the satisfaction of seeing him even slightly uncomfortable (though he did hold his menu close to his face to hide a cough when Montague described himself as "humble"). They deserved each other, really. Montague liked to hear himself talk, and Pansy liked to be the center of attention. It was no stretch to believe they could get along so well... though actually, Perry didn't know just how well they got along. He didn't associate with Pansy in school, thus didn't know how well Montague knew her. To have them here together was somewhat strange ( ... )

Montague half-smirked in response to Perry's witticism. As much as he acknowledged Perry's strength, both mental and physical, Montague doubted Perry would be strong enough to accept all of the truth about him. Obviously, he would not faint-- but would he still be as uncautious and open with him around as he was now?

Ah, the ways of normal people- too obscure for me!

"If you insist- I shall uncover my mysterious identity for you a little then," he said, glancing through the menu quickly. He already knew what was offered by heart and went for what he always went for at La Fee Verte: cigarettes. With the waitress sent away, Montague turned his attention back to his friends ( ... )

Oh, haha, indeed Perry was ever so lucky to have been given the "opportunity" to admire Pansy's magnificence for eternity!

...No, really.

But he wasn't going to acknowledge that, he kept his eyes on his menu and it was all he could to do not roll them up at the ceiling. But a small, amused grin did escape, very briefly.

He turned in his menu as well along with his order (he was going light this evening... sausage and mash), and without that distraction, he was forced to notice how Pansy was reclining all over their companion. Unfortunately he missed her disappointed glances, or else he might have realized that she was doing it deliberately. As it was, he wasn't quite sure what she thought she was doing-and right in front of him! Fine, the flirting he could get past, but did they have to touch? And should he be concerned? Perry was still doing his best to conceal his annoyance. Perhaps this was typical Pansy behavior. Perhaps she didn't care how or from who she got attention, and this was nothing to worry about ( ... )

"Aw, Montague, if only I'd known!" One hand moved to stroke his hair once, and once only, and then she added, "You can still write odes to me on the sly. As long as Mils doesn't find out - she has quite the temper, you know ( ... )
