The Quidditch League Cup Match

Seamus couldn’t believe his luck. When Sean O’Casey had given him four tickets to the League Cup finals, and not just regular seats but tickets for his personal skybox, Seamus had been ecstatic. He’d planned to invite all the Gryffindor boys of his year who could make it, but then he realised that he did not have an appropriate gift for one Miss Pansy Parkinson, a girl he was not overly fond of, but whose birthday party he had decided to attend. His Mum had raised him to do the right thing, so he changed his plans and gave the Slytherin lass two of his precious tickets for her birthday gift. He knew it had been the right thing to do, but that didn’t make him any happier about it.
With only one ticket left and the possibility that Pansy would show up to make his life miserable to make his life miserable, with or without a guest, he knew he’d only be open to more pain and suffering from the lass if he didn’t invite a witch of the fairer sex to attend with him. When he was dancing with Hannah Abbott at Pansy’s party, it just seemed that she was the right witch to invite, so he did.
Now, the two of them were here, in this exclusive box and the match was about to begin. He was excited. He was thrilled. He was glad he had invited Hannah, who was a very nice person who did not deserve to be dissed by Pansy. He was going to see the League Cup match from a skybox!
And he was so pre-occupied with worrying about whether Pansy would show up or not that he could barely enjoy it.
