It was a quiet Saturday. And one for breaking records. Like the record of nearly two weeks locked away in his room. Somehow, Draco had managed to convince Harry that forgetting what the rest of the house looked like might be a relatively bad thing. How do you disagree with that, really?

By Saturday afternoon, Harry found himself in the sitting room - sitting. He'd played the guitar, using some of the books he'd gotten as gifts for his birthday to begin learning a few new songs, he'd hung the painting Remus had given him above the mantle, Merlin - he'd even taken to reading a book. A book, that now sat, open, in his lap while fingers thrummed out an impatient melody across the pages. He hated being bored.

How was it that a person could spend close to two weeks within the confines of four small walls and the company of one other person and not once be as bored as he was now with an entire estate at his disposal?

Draco was - off, about the house, doing something. Harry's nerves about the other man's proximity had loosened a bit amidst a comfort and ease found, not to mention the now reassuring knowledge that Draco wasn't going anywhere Harry couldn't get to him in a matter of moments. It was a comfort that was quickly losing a source as Harry's confidence in himself slowly seeped back into his life. The association, now almost a subconscious one, of Draco to Harry's ability to remain himself still remained, but its existence was almost second nature. Draco just belonged, as did Harry. Life was finding a pattern and an ease, even if it meant ignoring the fact that the rest of the world had to exist.

Snitch lifted his head lazily from where he was stretched out next to Sirus's chair as Harry shifted within it. Scratching the pup behind the ears in apology for disturbing his afternoon nap, Harry glanced around the room. So, he'd made it out of his room...now to find something to do.
