Oliver apparareted into Diagon Alley, just a few paces away from the Leaky Cauldron. Though Wood was not the most talented of wizards, he had no problem concentration on this destination. Winifred was held tightly in his arms, one hand on her pram. She wiggled a bit, always hating to do side-along aparation. However, Wood had been on his broom all day, and he was glad to give his bum a bit of a break. Not to mention that it was late, and he had hardly been able to spend any time with the twins though they had been watching the games.

“Whey’z Frud and Gerge?” Wini asked, looking around. Oliver had been a bit nervous about leaving his daughter in their hands while they played, and had almost gone ahead and asked Eloise Midgen to join them. That would’a been a bloody nasty trick on them, though, Oliver though. Who could enjoy being around Eloise for three days straight? Oliver wasn’t sure his two-year-old daughter would have forgiven him until she was thirty. As it was, Winifred had seemed to enjoy their company immensely.

“They’re comin’,” Oliver said, shifting her weight in his arms. He sat her down in the pram and smoothed a blanket over her knees. He was struggling to keep his tone light. Lost… Lost… Lost… He bit the inside of his cheek and started looking around, wondering when the two would appear. He could do with a bit of their jokes tonight. Anything to keep him from going too far down the bottle.

“How’s some apple juice sound?” he asked his daughter, keeping his voice from sounding too gruff. “I bet Tom or Seamus can get some for ya’.”
