Who's always last to knooow, who fills the air with cries...?

The thing about living near an air base is that there occasionally these... noises. I'm used to the crazy roaring of Tornado F3s overhead - that's fair enough. It's just the deep sort of vibratory rumbles - doom, doom, like Godzilla's walking around - that drive me mad. Especially since I only seem to hear it in the library or the arts building. And nobody else reacts!

Maybe I'm just going crazy.

Anyway. I am enjoying St Andrew's very much. I'm enjoying my classes very much, even Ethical Controvosies (I guess). I am definitely enjoying the fact that my housemate saved a plate of home-made veggie curry and rice for me (it's sitting in the kitchen, all served out and cling-filmed up, with a little postit saying 'for Suzanne :)'. D'aww.

This is literally five seconds from where I am right now. To get to classes I walk along the beach and through the harbour. <3

I'm helping out a little with a production of Call of Cthulhu: I got to be a chanting cultist to make up some sound effects for the show, and I might be a sneaky plant in the audience. Either way, free tickets to see it! \o/ (Though I admit I thought at first it was going to be a production of Shoggoth on the Roof. I almost died. I couldn't stop singing 'Tentacles!' for about a week.

I went along to Question Time, too - it wasn't televised or anything, but they'd still managed to bag Charles Clarke as the Labour representative. The UKIP dude got a total bollocking from a whole bunch of people which was fun to watch. I'm not sure what he expected, considering St Andrews is something like 40% international students.

Tonight is time for a study-binge, though. I realised the other day that I spend so much time learning grammatical rules and patterns (God I love learning grammar wtf is wrong with me) that I've forgotten to memorise any actual vocab. Whoops!

picspam, tentacles!, omg socialising?, uni
