Next thing I'm planning to do is a recital with mostly Polish dances. Many of them are contained in Danzig 4230 and in the Gehema manuscript. The two lutes I need for that project happen to be among those whose roses I recently gilded.

I tuned the theorbo one last time a quarter of an hour before the recital was to start, then I went to get a programme sheet for myself, and when I came back ... the F bass string had broken. Gut strings sometimes fray and break. Not very often in the basses, but, well, shit happens.
