Haven't posted recently because I have been having internet issues (problem resolved yesterday and turned out to be a problem with the network cable so the fact that networking fell over just after I did an upgrade was just bad luck). I was randomly broswing the net as I do occasionally and I came across a site which had reviews of GBLT fantacy and sci-fi. If you are going to delete fan art for being kiddy porn not having any artistic merit to offset the fact that it might depict someone under 18 [EDIT: Clarification] (and I say 'might depict' because LJ says the characters are under 18 and the artists are disputing it) then picking some of the (I'm told) better known artists in the Harry Potter ( Read more... )

This article on the BBC site about a fanfic writer getting published caught my eye. I admit my first thought was 'please don't let that be someone about whom there has been a lot of controvacy'.
