I'll probably regret posting this in the AM, as it's more of my BS speculation, but...
A thought just occurred to me after reading a post over at t&c, which speculated that Ten may already be dying when he goes back to visit Rose in 2005, and may go back to say the words he never could say, and that it would be nice if there were a little flash forward at the end or something with Rose remembering that the Doctor had told her he loved her way back when before she ever met him and she just thought he was some drunk nutter.
WHAT IF THE REASON ROSE NEVER MADE MORE OF A FUSS ABOUT THE DOCTOR NOT SAYING 'I LOVE YOU' IS BECAUSE SHE, AT LEAST A LITTLE BIT, REMEMBERED THIS?
She'd obviously not be able to tell him.
OMG THE THOUGHT IS LIKE A DAGGER THROUGH MY FUCKING HEART. Think of scenes like DD and JE from Rose's POV, if that's true.
