Bliss. Cordy didn't know when she'd begun to hate that word or how it was possible to hate a word; she just knew she had. She hated that Angel couldn't experience it, couldn't have what so many others took for granted.
Angel sat down beside her, a vial in his hand. "What's that?"
"Soultrap."
"What is it?"
"A permanent soul."
It was in that moment that Cordy stopped hating the word bliss.
She squeezed his hand as he drained the vial, securing his soul. She led Angel upstairs, intent on showing him what complete and utter bliss felt like. Finally.
