Cordy sighed in frustration when her copy of Vogue fell behind the nightstand. Reaching behind it, her fingers brushed the magazine. And something else. When she saw what the something else was, tears sprang to her eyes instantly. It was a yellow rubber duck. Connor's duck. It'd been a year now since they'd lost him, but she still had moments of complete despair, when something would remind her of that sweet little boy. She lay down on her pillow, remembering all they'd lost.
When Angel came in a short time later, he found her fast asleep, still holding that duck.
