Angel sat down on the bench in the courtyard outside the Hyperion Hotel and stared up at the night sky. It was always quiet here, but it seemed extra peaceful tonight.
"What are you thinking about?" Cordy asked, taking the spot beside him.
Angel smiled. "You. Life. You. The future. Mostly you."
She took his hand in his. "And what about me were you thinking about tonight?"
"Nothing much, just how much I adore you."
"Is that all?" she teased, a twinkle in her eye.
"Well, there is one other thing," he whispered.
"What's that?" she asked.
"This." He caressed her jaw before gently pressing his lips to hers.
"I love you, Angel," she told him softly, laying her head on his shoulder.
"And I love you," he whispered as they watched the moon, which seemed to shine a little brighter tonight.
