Kyuhyun let out an audible sigh. The sight in front of him never failed to make his heart sink a little lower.
"Yah, Kyuhun! It's been three years. Don't tell me you’re still upset over that jerk!" Donghae spat -- enough was enough.
"He's not a jerk..." Kyuhyun mumbled his eyes downcast.
"Yeah, he's not. In fact, he's much worst."
"Aish, Donghae. Don't say things like that to Kyuhyun." Eunhyuk interjected.
Donghae shot his boyfriend a 'you-know-it's-true' look, and then changed the subject.
The three of them were sitting in the cafeteria of their all-boys school.
Eunhyuk and Donghae were the only people Kyuhyun could call 'best friends' now, even though they were older than him by a mere two years -- but just one grade, thanks to Kyuhyun's smarts.
It had become a habit now -- Kyuhyun glancing towards Siwon every damned moment he was allowed.
Honestly, the magnae had no clue as to why he chose to put himself through that torture. Siwon had hardly even uttered a single word to him since the day Kyuhyun came back from Math Camp -- BEFORE high school started.
You see, Kyuhyun never actually DID tell anyone about his realization -- the fact that he was in love with Siwon, that was.
He couldn't take it anymore.
"Hyungs, I think I've developed feelings for Choi Siwon." Kyuhyun blurted out, shocking both Eunhyuk and Donghae -- who's mouth was hanging open in mid-sentence.
Eunhyuk started. "W-what the bloody --"
"-- hyung, you're swearing." Kyuhyun smirked.
"Whatever. For how long, Cho?!" the one known as monkey demanded.
"For three years, hyung."
"And you're only telling us this NOW because?" Donghae asked, once he'd recovered.
"I thought the feeling would've gone away by now. But it... it just got worst." Kyuhyun rubbed at his temples.
Then, reality decided to hit him in the face.
"You DO know Siwon's a straight man right?" Eunhyuk took a sip of his strawberry milk.
"Yes. I DO know. He has a girlfriend, remember?" Kyuhyun sighed in defeat.
"Well, what are you going to do?"
"I don't know." came Kyuhyun's quiet reply.

"Eh, Shi -- Siwon? What are you doing here?" Kyuhyun had walked home after school to find said person slotting something into the Cho family's mailbox.
"Hi... Kyuhyun." Siwon greeted, scratching his head.
"What's up?" Kyuhyun swallowed all emotions, putting on the best poker-face he could muster.
"Uh, I just wanted to invite you to my party on Saturday. The invitation's in here." Siwon gave the metal mailbox a pat.
"Oh. Uh, thanks." Kyuhyun was beyond confused.
The two boys stood there in the awkward silence, neither of them knowing what to say to each other.
"Well, I'll be seeing you, then."Siwon finally said, giving the magnae a wave.
"Oh. Yeah, sure." Kyuhyun waved back. "See ya."
"He invited ME? ME of all people?" Kyuhyun asked no one in particular, as he watched Siwon walk back into the Choi household next door -- a place so near, yet he hadn't been to in years.
The magnae pulled at the lid of the mailbox. He slipped his hand inside to retrieve the invitation.
"Hey, Kyu! What you got there?" Donghae asked, popping out of nowhere.
"Whatdafuck, Lee Donghae! Are you stalking me?!" Kyuhyun took a whack at his best friend.
"No. Hyukkie had something to attend, so I just thought I'd come over to see how you were doing."
"Yeah. And scare the crap out of me too, you fish."
"Aish, mianhae. So, what's that?" Donghae pointed at the piece of card in Kyuhyun's hands.
"It's an invitation... to Siwon's party."
"CHOI Siwon?" Kyuhyun nodded. As if there were any other Siwons around!
"You mean, as in that party he's having this Saturday?" Fishy confirmed in disbelief.
"Yup. Stop gapping at me like that, Donghae-ah!"
"How did you know that it was this Saturday anyway?" Kyuhyun asked.
"Because Hyukkie and I were invited too." Donghae replied sheepishly.
"You guys are ALWAYS invited to stuff, so I'm not really surprised." Kyuhun grinned.
"So, are you going? Are you? Are you? Are you?" the elder boy pestered.
"Yah!" Annoyed, Kyuhyun took another jab at Fishy, who cowered in mock horror.
"Come on, Kyu! Hyukkie and I will be there!"
"MAYBE." the younger one stressed. "I still don't know why he invited me, though..."
"Hmmm, isn't it ironic? He invited you on the day you told us you had feelings for him."
"Be quiet." Kyuhyun hissed.
But it WAS ironic, Kyuhyun had to admit.
Did Siwon overhear their conversation at recess? Was there a scheme involved?
'It's probably just a coincidence.' the magnae assured himself.
But then, there WAS that nagging feeling...
A/N: My bias and his straight-forwardness had to go and write himself in... oh well. xD
