I feel like all my words were poured out.
I finished a book on Monday night, and I'm been very feh ever since. Picture Mojo doing the fat and disgruntled arm-flap. It also didn't help that I had a super-awesome meeting with my boss that ended in him finally signing my leave request for in order to do depositions (which are next week, and I gave him the forms a month ago), but not not until I cried and told him that I am thisclose to burning out and throwing everything into the floor over being the only Class One still expected to do Class Three work on the aforementioned Class One salary. (Fuck, one of the Class Ones doesn't even show up half the time.) He made the same promises that I've been hearing for two years. (Though he did apparently go into his boss's office right after I left, so *shrug.*) I came to the conclusion that I cannot handle the stress of interviewing for and then starting a new job while I'm also in the middle of this estate bullshit, but after that I'm putting my resume out there and seeing what happens. It's not even the money, it's the disparities in treatment and expectation that can't be justified by anything at all.

In, uh, lighter news: HAD ANOTHER JAMIE BELL DREAM LAST NIGHT. APPARENTLY HE WAS OVER AT MY HOUSE FOR CHRISTMAS. AT ONE POINT HE GAVE ME A VERY NICE HUG. MY BRAIN SERIOUSLY DOES NOT KNOW HOW TO DO A SEX DREAM RIGHT.

And in news both lighter and related, I am seriously considering applying to a freelance gig reviewing porn. It's five cents a word if you're decent, ten cents if you're good, and is basically about giving the TWOP treatment to peen and the men who love it. I'm slightly amazed that this niche market hasn't been filled already. (Urge to...make porn joke...rising...) (Urge to...make porn joke...about porn joke...also rising...)
